Sonos Case Study. Villa Algarve, Villa Portugal

Multi Room Systems were initially contacted by a private villa owner in Vale De Lobo Portugal to discuss a Sonos installation in certain parts of the villa including delivery of Sonos music to the barbecue and swimming pool area.

The villa had recently been purchased and was a renovation and extension project. Working through each room from a building plan and photographs we discussed with the owner the vision he had for audio and visual equipment and so began the process of producing a Sonos specification list and associated speakers for a custom installation. Our Sonos proposal also had to work hand in hand with existing 5.1 home cinema receivers that the owner had recently purchased for the main ground level room and basement games room.

The project encompassed four rooms of music all in all. Main living room, master bedroom, pool/barbecue area and the basement which had been redesigned to become a games room and general chill out room.

Due to the distance from the ground floor main living room to the upper floor master bedroom and the challenge of the overall size of the villa we discreetly deployed a Sonos Zonebridge BR100 on the first floor to ensure no gaps in the Sonosnet wireless mesh ensuring perfect Sonos Controller wireless performance to control any of the Sonos Zoneplayers from any location.

Our Sonos music system has already become the talk of many a barbecue and dinner party since the owner completed the villa renovation. Talks are already underway to add more Sonos Zoneplayers and speakers.
